Japanese complex

This residential complex has been designed for a Japanese society living in Mexico and its program seeks to satisfy their common and traditional activities.

Structure defines the space and it talks by itself becoming the essence of the complex representing an old Japanese house.

The purpose of the complex is to create a traditional atmosphere capable to make people feel their identity into a new context.

The whole complex has been inspired in traditional Japanese TATAMI floors and SHOJI panels which share the same modular proportion. Using this proportion, the ground floor composition spreads pieces of elements for recreation, contemplation and relaxing areas in order to provide the best outdoor experiences.

A wood pavilion, a swimming pool and body of water, a modular garden and a cherry tree courtyard make up the outdoor areas.
